Keeping Explosives Safe with Connected Fleet Intelligence in OneView

In Canada, handling explosives is governed by the Explosives Act, a federal law that regulates the manufacture, storage, transport, and use of blasting materials, electric detonators, and other devices that could present a hazard if triggered unintentionally.

One of the biggest risks comes from radio frequency (RF) energy. Some devices, like GPS trackers or wireless sensors, can emit frequencies that may unintentionally activate electric detonators or blasting circuits if they are too close. hat creates a serious safety concern on job sites that involve blasting, drilling, or handling explosives. Without proper controls in place, both workers and equipment can be put at risk.

Today’s fleet challenges don’t wait for you to get back to the office. With OneView Mobile, customers can take action on the go, no desk, no laptop, no delays.

One customer shared how valuable it is to be able to troubleshoot after hours, no matter where he is or what he’s doing. When a truck breaks down, he receives a notification with the exact location and situation. From his phone, he can dispatch maintenance and get the driver back on the road, without logging into a computer or returning to the office.

Smarter Shipment Tracking at Ports with Geofencing & Heat Mapping

Delays at ports can stall schedules, increase costs, and create unnecessary headaches. Using OneView’s geofencing, heat mapping, and dynamic filtering, one customer transformed how they track materials and shipments, without adding extra manual work.

By geofencing the ports they use, they gained immediate visibility into where containers were located and how long they had been sitting. Heat maps and dynamic filters helped them quickly identify bottlenecks.
