Our Team’s Experience at the Women In Trucking Accelerate! Conference
At Pedigree Technologies, we believe our culture is shaped by the people who show up every day ready to solve problems, support our customers, and strengthen the industries we serve. In industries like technology and transportation, fields that have traditionally been male-dominated, it is especially important to create opportunities for women to develop, lead, and be recognized.
Empowering women in these spaces is not just the right thing to do; it strengthens our business and the industry as a whole. Women bring diverse perspectives, empathetic leadership, and innovative thinking that lead to better solutions and stronger teams.
This year, we reinforced that commitment by inviting employees to nominate two women within our organization to attend the Women In Trucking Accelerate! Conference. This national event brings together thousands of women across transportation and logistics to connect, learn, and grow. It is an ideal space for professional development, networking, and discovering new ideas that impact the future of our industry.
After receiving many heartfelt nominations, two outstanding team members were selected: Laura Schjeldahl, Senior User Experience Designer, and Lynette Burgan, Training Manager.

Conference Winners Spotlight & Their Takeaways
Two remarkable women—Laura and Lynette—were selected for this year’s Women In Trucking Accelerate! Conference, and their nominations, contributions, and personal experiences reflect exactly why they were so deserving.
Laura, the driving force behind our customer-facing interface, is known for her brilliance in UX/UI design and her instinct for building intuitive, human-centered experiences. Her peers describe her as someone who “dives into projects without hesitation” and “brings a level of intelligence and creativity that elevates every product she touches.” Reading those nominations “meant more than her team could imagine,” and she described the entire experience as an honor.

She has helped hundreds of drivers, technicians, and fleet managers turn complex technology into practical, real-world success. Peers called her a “ray of sunshine,” someone who “brings light and energy wherever she goes,” and a leader with a rare understanding of the end user. Reading her nominations brought her to tears—“ugly cried,” as she described it—because she felt so seen and supported.
The conference gave her new insights into the industry, technology trends, and innovative learning tools. She walked away inspired by emerging solutions like AI-powered load boards and energized by meaningful conversations with other women in the field. She’s already applying new ideas to future training strategies, especially around knowledge sharing and empowering others. Her encouragement to future women in the industry: seize the opportunity—there is so much room for women to lead.
Their selection was deeply deserved, and the lessons they carried home—confidence, connection, new ideas, and renewed purpose—have already begun shaping how we support our customers, our teams, and each other.
