A fleet operating in both agricultural and non-agricultural sectors faced challenges in managing ELD compliance for drivers working within a 150-air-mile radius of agricultural sites. Under the AG Exempt rule, commercial motor vehicle drivers are exempt from Hours of Service (HOS) regulations when transporting agricultural commodities during state-designated planting and harvesting periods or when hauling farm supplies under specific conditions.
